Dealertrack QPRINT, explained
QPRINT sends a Dealertrack report to an electronic file you can view on screen without printing a physical copy. Each user gets their own private QPRINT file, and those files are cleared nightly. For many Parts, Service, and Business Office forms it is the only built-in way to get output without paper. What it does not do is apply logos, table borders, or column headers, so a QPRINT copy is raw text that is hard to read and not customer ready.
Which one
Text-only, or full fidelity?
QPRINT is a good fit when
- The output is for internal reference only
- You need the numbers or text fast and layout does not matter
- Nobody outside the dealership will see it
A full-fidelity PDF is the fit when
- A customer or vendor will receive it
- The document needs logos, borders, and layout to look official
- You are emailing a statement, invoice, or repair order
For the full side-by-side, including a sample of each output, see QPRINT vs full-fidelity PDF printing.
