The problem
Why most forms won't just save as a clean PDF
Dealertrack applies a form's logos, borders, and column headers through printer macro templates, so that complete layout only appears when the form is sent to a printer. On screen and through QPRINT you get the raw text without any of it, which makes an invoice, receipt, or statement hard to read and clearly not customer ready. F&I and Sales are the exception: several of their forms save to PDF natively, so those departments already have an option. Parts, Service, and the Business Office do not, which is where PrintSent fits.
To work around it, staff try a couple of things. Some screenshot parts of the Dealertrack web portal, but those screens are built for internal use and either miss data or leave off the logos. Others rebuild the document in their own Word template and retype or paste the numbers in, which is slow, easy to get wrong, and not practical dozens of times a day. PrintSent removes the workaround: staff click Print like always, and the fully formatted PDF appears in the portal.
