How It Works
From Dealertrack to your inbox in seconds
Send print jobs to the PrintSent device just like any normal printer. It emails a branded PDF of the form directly to your inbox — no coding, no learning curve, delivered in seconds.
The Challenge
Dealertrack is built for printers — PrintSent adds PDF
Dealertrack DMS is a powerful system — and like most enterprise platforms, many of its forms are designed to output through physical printers. The built-in QPRINT option is useful for quick output, but doesn't include logos or formatting on any forms.
Most dealerships use dedicated Lexmark network printers for Dealertrack output and print thousands of pages per month. When customers or vendors need copies, staff prints the document, walks to the printer, scans it back in, emails it to themselves, and forwards it.
PrintSent extends Dealertrack by appearing on your network as a printer it already recognizes. Send print jobs to it just like any normal printer, and it emails a branded PDF directly to your inbox — no coding, no learning curve, delivered in seconds.
The Flow
How PrintSent works
Your staff clicks Print
Same as always. Nothing changes in their workflow. They print from Dealertrack like they've always done.
PrintSent captures the document
It appears to Dealertrack as a real Lexmark printer. The full print stream is captured, including all logos and formatting.
PDF delivered to email
The document is delivered as a branded PDF to the email addresses you configure. Set it once, it runs automatically.
When someone needs a physical copy — a parts pick ticket, a printed receipt for the customer sitting across the desk — they print to a different printer ID in Dealertrack or just print the PDF they get via email to any printer they have nearby.
Setup
Under 30 minutes. Start to finish.
We ship you a pre-configured device. Your IT team handles the rest.
Plug it into your network
Connect the device to your Dealertrack VPN-connected network with an ethernet cable. That's the only physical connection needed (besides power).
Assign a static IP
Open the device's built-in setup page and configure a static IP address on your network.
Create a printer in Dealertrack
Point a new printer in Dealertrack to that IP. Dealertrack detects it as a Lexmark — because that's exactly what it expects.
Run 'Send Logos'
Send Logos from Dealertrack to initialize the document templates. Your document types appear automatically, ready to configure.

Email Routing
Configure which documents go where — once
Each document type can go to different recipients. Add multiple email addresses per document type. PrintSent delivers automatically — every time, no exceptions.
A common setup is to create a shared group inbox per department — just like each department has a shared printer today, now they have a shared inbox. Service checks their inbox for Repair Orders, Parts checks theirs for Purchase Orders, and so on. Same workflow, digital instead of physical.
When a customer calls asking for a copy of their receipt? Your team forwards the PDF from their inbox. Done in 10 seconds.

Security
Your documents, protected
Encrypted in transit
All documents are encrypted using HTTPS during transmission.
Temporary caching only
Documents are temporarily cached for delivery, not stored long-term.
Secure download links
Sensitive documents can be sent as secure download links instead of email attachments.
No PII in emails
No customer personal information is included in email subject lines or body text. Only safe identifiers like RO numbers.
Multi-Location
One account. All your dealerships.
If your locations share the same Dealertrack company and logos, a single PrintSent device can serve all of them. If you have separate Dealertrack companies — each with their own logos and templates — each one gets its own PrintSent setup. Either way, manage everything from one login.
